hi folks,
i just bought a graupner arf from a guy who crashed it and banged the nose. it's a shame to throw a cub so i got a really good deal for the plane and servos + nicad battery.
I want to put a raduga 7M 7cc (.42 size) engine in it since the cub is a kind of vintage plane so a vintage engine should go nice with it (the engine is like 20 years old but never been fired. i got it as a gift from an old modeler who was getting out of the hobby).
do you thing this engine will pull the cub well? I bench tested the engine and it works well with a 11x6 fiber glass prop (home made)
regards,
red
PS: I was very suprised to see the poor quality of the plane. wery bad material and labour in this plane. I'll be thinking twice before buying another graupner again. even my modeltech extra300 arf is built better.
