Default which 60 - 90 size ARf to get

I have an OS .91 four stroke engine not in use and am looking for a new plane to put it in. So far I'm considering the funtana 90 but I'm not sure if my 91 is enough engine for this plane, I'm also considering the U-can-Do 60.

Any thoughts about either of these planes or any other ideas would be a great help.

A 4 stroke .91 will not be enough engine for the Funtana 90. A lot of people run .91's in the 40 size U-Can -Do if you're into 3D.

Well from the sounds of it both of the planes I was thinking about are kind of out of the question because I don't want what ever I get to be under powered. So does anyone have any suggestions about other planes that this engine will perform well in?

I was thinking along the same lines, a 4c is great in any 60 size2c warbird and warbirds just look so great in low level to high bank turns on a full tilt 4 stroke!!!!, maybe the sportmans aviation p40 warhawk or the spitfire come with retracts and are priced very competitively

Try the WM Super Chipmunk, great flying aerobatic plane. Also good is the Pacific Aeromodels Edge 540 T 60/100. The OS91 4C is a no no for the F90 is you want to 3D, its ok if you just wanna fly is around only.

It depends a lot on how you like to fly.

If you want to fly scale or pattern look at planes in the 7-8 lbs. (most 60 size) range. The 40 size 3D planes are designed to be overpowered so the .91 will be ok in them. I wouldn't put a .91 in a regular (non 3D) 40 size . A 60 size 3D plane may need a little more ummmp than a .91 can provide to do 3D. As stated above if you just want to fly around and not 3D then the .91 will be ok in about any 60 size plane. If you want power to spare then you are going to have to put the .91 in a lighter plane. Again it just depends on how you like to fly.

Vectorflight extra 300S 58 inch model. Probably also work well witht he larger ones. I fly the 58 inch with a ST. .90 and its great.

Right now I have the UcanDo 3D 46 and really like the way it flies, the thing slows to almost walking speed without any type of a stall. I was hoping to get something that flies like that, just a little larger. I also read a review for the 60 size UcanDo here on RCuniverse that said it's great with the OS .91 four stroke. Any thoughts on that.

I haven't heard anything about the vector flight planes but they look very nice, I really like the Sukohi. Can you give me alittle info on them. Do you have one? Which one? How does it fly? Anything bad?

I guess I've been told that the scale planes are less forgiving than some of the fun fly planes and required allot more speed for landings.

Take a look at the Giantscaleplanes Passion 3-D. Beautiful construction. However the instructions are a simple guide. If you've built a few, you won't need them. I beefed up the front end on mine, and It does very well with a Super tigre .75.
Calls for .60 2-S, .70 4-S 55" span, 61.5" long 775 sq." w/a. Fits well in back of PU all ready to go.

I bought it just because it was reasonably priced and DIFFERENT from all the funtanas at the field.

The sale price of $130 is, IMO, a bit misleading as they tack on a healthy shipping price, which is way beyond what it cost to ship it here to TX. Still for what I got the total of $160 wasn't all that bad. Painted FG cowl and it really fit very well.

I have the U Can Do 60 with OS 91 FX in it. I swing a 15x6 APC prop and can take off from 15 feet roll and go straight up like a home sick angel. This plane can also let you fly like an angel with a bad seizure disorder. Don't let anyone tell you U Can Do 60 will be underpowered with 91 motor. The plane is built real light for such big size. I use it to fly on windy, overcast days in Oregon when I don't want to take out my prized warbirds or propjets. This plane likes to float too, if you're still landing like a sportflyer. [:-]

That is a .91 size 2 stoke. You did not say what it is spinning the 15 x6, but mine will 10,200 with the stock muffer--This is just as good or better than a saito 100 will do on 30%.
