Default Truth in advertising?

Okay, Great Planes has their 'new' PT17 Stearman out which is probably their Super Stearman in new clothing. And this is great....it looks like a nice plane. But to advertise it as quarter scale??? I thought the full scale U.S Army and the Navy version were 32 ft. 2 inch wingspan, so true 1/4 scale size should be about 96 inches. So 71.5 inches is nowhere near 1/4 scale unless there was a full scale 23 ft. Stearman built I never heard or read about....
Will someone set me straight? I'm very curious.

This is Radio Control, and it seems many manufacturers do not adhere to "truth in advertising". Especially when it come to size or quality.

It seems as thou they consider any airplane that takes a 25cc gas engine to ge 1/4 scale so I guess a 1/10 spruce goose is considered 1/4 scale by todays standards hmm who knew[:-][:-][:-]
