Default Super Stearman problem solved. Thanks to all who replied.

What a great site !!! Lots of priceless information that probably saved me from killing my new plane. I love my new Saito 72, (First 4 stroke), which I now only give about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle with a little up elevator until she leaves the runway and it works great !! I also took out the "toe in". What a difference!!! I've only been flying for 6 months and this is my first short taildragger. It's also my 8th plane. Planes 1 thru 5 all gave their lives for me. Special thanks to all who shared their knowlege with me to let the Super Stearman live..... I love this hobby!!!

Default RE: Great Planes Super Stearman

I am building a Great Planes Super Stearman and having trouble with slaving the top wing ailerons. I have located the control horns as shown in the construction manual, but with the push rod installed I can not get the recommened throws. Has anyone else ran into this problem?. Is the manual wrong?. With the push rod removed I can move all four ailerons up and down much more than the recommened throws, so the ailerons themselfs are ok. But when I connect the push rod between the lower and upper aileron and try to move the lower aileron up and down I only get less than a half inch. of throw. Can anyone help?

Thanks
