Default Phoenix Models Sonic ....

I have the Phoenix Models Sonic and it is assume. The quality out of the box is real good. I did go over all of the joints that I could get to with CA, I do this to any plane that I get regardless if it is new or used. I am running a OS Max 32 with Mack's Muff.

I set the throws at max with high rates turned up all the way. Flip/flop, spin it around, snap right angle turns with violence. KOOL [8D]. It is real responsive and a hoot to fly. Use low-rates and it can be very tame for 1st timers on a low-wing.

Landings and slow fly are also predictable.

For $79.00, this is one of the best bargains in ARF's. I do highly recommend it as a 1st low-wing or one for the better pilots who can take it to the extreme.

I agree with Fred420 that the Sonic is a great value. I flew mine with a .25FX and it had more than enough power for sport/pattern type flying. Also a very durable model as I did a little parkflying with mine in and out of a small rough field and it withstood the punishment very well.

I currently am working on a Phoenix SeaBee and this is also a very nice ARF. For $99.00 it has decent hardware, very nice heat shrink film (monokote?), a fiberglass cowl and wheel pants. Tough to beat Phoenix ARF's for the cost.
