The red color on my cowl and canopy trim and the covering on the fusealage do not match.
The cowl and the canopy trim are darker than the covering.
I think the covering is Monokote.
Does anyone know the correct color?
Is there a Lusterkote color that matches it
or another supplier?
I have Missile Red Lusterkote - it appears to be lighter than the covering color.

That is one of the notes in two articles I have seen on this kit. (my kit as well). The cowl is a little off in color. I don't think there is an exact match. Lustra coat will be the closest match.

My cowling has a very slight red difference. It is probably from painting a white fiberglass surface. You can try two coats of paint on the cowl. Mine is not that big of a difference and paint adds weight!

If that is it, you can paint the back side a darker color and that should address the problem without taking a chance of messing up the front.

what we have done is to match the color in the cowling & canopy with the fuse at the local dupont paint shop and re-paint both pices.

Read all the threads in this forum, there are big discusions on the incidents on the stab the firewall and the wing, Mary cross from GP recomended +1,o +1 om stab, wing & engine.-
the word was that all giles needed down trim elevator to fly straid, I did +1,0,+1 and now I use up trim elevator, so is a no win!!
It flys nice, I have a 1.60FX, it land fast and alway kind of tip stalls on you right at touch-down, nevertheless if you loose speed and stall it high, recipe for crash!!
so because of is sweepback wing design alway land it with speed
also put a fiberglass fabric with epoxy at the joint of both half wings.- I t probably will need weight at the tail so try leaving a way to put it in the back, I don not remenber how much mine has, but ALFIRC will tell you since they have 2 in La Paz and he did mine, he put it in before epoxing the tail feathers.
Good luck and enjoy hte flight!°!
