Default The "G" String

Well I have been flying my Shoestring for 3 years now and decided to strip it down over the summer and check things out and recover and paint. I have enough planes to fly around it. I am going for that Neon Hot Pink covering and will rename it the "G-String." Pep Boys has some of those chrome stickers of female silhouettes for added trim.

I've been thinking along the same lines. Have had mine for about 3 years now, there's nothing at all wrong with it, it flies great (.61FX) but I've got an itching to fix something that ain't broken. I think I got the feeling to overhaul it after coming across the USRA website http://www.usrainfo.org/ and being inspired by some of those awesome planes they have in their gallery. The ouline of the Shoestring is alot like some of the planes on that site so I might come up with my own USRA scheme.

Have you taken the covering off yet? If so, are you thinking about any modifications such as a sheeted turtledeck or fully sheeted wings? Also, do you know where I can get a 2 view of a GP Shoestring? I always like to figure out the trim scheme in Photoshop before I start covering so I don't wind up with a painfully tacky airplane.

I have done this to 3 Arfs over the last few years. I have no projects right now. I have been talking about stripping it down since last summer. I like taking a ARF and making it better. I rebuilt and recoverd this WM Midget last year. I run an OS 1.08 in this one. It was the white version. I relocated the gear and lengthend the vertical fin. Flys very stable.

I just like to have something a bit different, so why not a pink Shoestring.

Are you anywheres, near "Queechee?" I am orignally from NH and a sister lives their on the border

Snoop sounds like he is trying to bridge Zagnut and Airgar with his choice of color and undergarment.[sm=bananahead.gif]
