Default How does GP .25 P-51 Mustang fly

Hi,

I would like to buy a plane that I can carry assembled in my car trunk that flies like its on rails, is stable and has good landing characteristics. I find I like the Coro combat planes for this, but I would like to try either the Great Planes P-51 or Corsair.

The description of the P-51 is here:
http://www.greatplanes.com/airplanes/gpma1475.html

The Corsair is at the same site.

Has anyone flown the P-51 yet? If so, can you let me know how it flies and if you like it.

Thanks for your help.

I'd rather have something with rudder for non-combat flying. ModelTech Extra-300.25 or the Global Me109.25

Hi Kurt,

I looked at your suggestions and they may do. I have no problem adding rudder to combat planes, I just stick in a small servo, since there is no ground handling, it can handle the load.

Thanks for your input.

Here's another vote for the Modeltech Extra 300. Mine's got a Webra .32. It's a great plane. Another one to consider is the World Models Aircombat series. They're stand way back scale, but they fly great. I've got an OS .32 FSR in it. It's really quick, but slows down great too. In the 8 or so months I've had mine I've put more flights on it than any other plane.
