I have been flying an Ultra Stick 40 for about 3 seasons. Unfortunately it took it's last flight Sunday. I had it setup with a Saito 72 in front. After a few high speed passes I came down in a fast dive at full throttle and pulled full up at the edge of the field. I guess it was just to much for the airframe to take. The wing dowels ripped out of the wing and the wing came off. Now I'm not complaining about the plane, I had three good years of fun from it. The radio and engine survived but the plane was toast. Now it's time to select a replacement. I like the better visibility of the Ultra Stick 60 but I wonder if the 72 will pull it. I am just a sport flyer and don't usually burn holes in the sky.(My other plane I fly is a Sig Senior) or should I just build another 40. I would like to hear from anyone who might be flying the 60 with a 72. Thanks

Depends on what you want to do with it.
I think the Saito 72 is way small for the US60.
Take a look at the Black Horse Models Vios over at http://www.americanpioneerhobbies.com/vios.html

For My Money... I say the Greatest replacement for your Ultra Stick 40.....is another Ultra Stick 40.!!!!
Mine's going on over 3 season's too. I flew the covering rite off it and did a recover job, and put some floats on it. I have many other planes, but this one has been a tryed and true flyer.
I wouldn't hesitate to get another one...
Good Luck
