Curious to know about different plane options.
I was intersted in making use of my equipment which i have now into a new airplane i will possibly buy for a funfly event at my club. I have a tower trainer. It has a .46 engine on it (standard muffler), standard servos and a 62 inch wing. I woul like to buy a second plane that has a smaller wingspan but uses the same equipment, and has a nice price tag. Any ideas? Ive been looking everywhere and cant finda decent one. I found the mid wing traienr from Phoenix models, BEAUTIFUL plane, but unfortunately my engine is too powerful.

Magic 3D. Or World Models T-34 but it is more of a Semi Scale sport plane, not so much a fun fly.
Might check out the Tower Hobbies Uproar also.

The T34 as mentioned is a great plane. The World Models Super Sports is another good choice. A Goldberg Tiger 2 is almost the same size as your trainer but well worth a look. It can be built as a trike gear or a tail dragger and has a wide speed range. I have read good things about the Great Planes Rapture but its a newer model so haven't seen one at our field yet. [8D]

what kind of plane are you looking for?
a modeltech Magic would be a hoot..... or something like a 4*40 is a bit more docile but still very agile

if you are just comin off the trainer then you need a low wing trike gear. What ever you do don't go to a taildragger unless you have a sim that you can land a taildragger really well, i mean really well.

HI, thanks for the info. What about the Phoenix Models Sonic 25 Low Wing ARF? I know it says that it can only handle a .25-.36 engine, but what would happen if i add my .46? I read a review on rcuniverse and the guy said it was an excellent performer with the engine.
