Default HELP!!!!

I have a Lanier Stinger 60 size arf.. I put a Super Tigre G-90 on the front of it with a Bisson Pitts Muffler. I noticed last night while breaking the motor in the cowl started to get hot almost to the point of melting. The muffler has very little clearence between the sides of it and the cowl. any suggestions on what i should do. Would it be easier just to cut the cowl or is there something else i could do.. any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Sad to say but you may be best off opening the cowl. My G90 with Pitts muffler touched my Super Chipmunk's cowl too, I just left it, had a small crack and burn mark.

I cut my cowl at least a half inch around the muffler on my G62. It does ok. Those mufflers do get awefully hot so you gotta cut in some extra breathing room.
