Anyone know how this thing flys? Looks nice a pretty nice bird.

I am not a fan of ARF's but I have flown one of these, and I have to admit that it is one of the best ARF's I've ever seen, and I would recommend anyone who is interested in an ARF to get one. It has a good price, it is a quality airplane, and it flies very well.

This is one of the best flying planes I have seen. We have 4 of them in our club. Great with a .46 2 stroke, incredible with a Saito .72 or Irvine .53. Can't beat the price.

I owned one for a day before it rolled over on landing (cause still unknown) catching a wing tip and smashing the plane (imagine a knife-edge landing). I had a Saito .72 in it. It flies nicely but lands fast so if you like to float in your landings or fly off a short field you might want to pass. Also, plan on tossing most of the Hangar 9 hardware and putting good stuff in there (H9 hardware is cheap and prone to failure in my experience - I have built 3 H9 ARFs this year and have had to toss some of the hardware).

I've seen a couple of these at my field and by no means did they need to be landed anything close to fast. Did you correctly check the CG?

I have to agree with f2racer. I've been flying my aresti for 8 months now. It's one of the sweetest landing planes I've flown. Absolutely no tendency to land fast even in dead calm conditions. I love this plane

Can the Aresti do 3D? It looks like a pattern plane.

Just about any plane can do 3D if you power it accordingly (I used to hover my Avistar with a TT Pro-46 and an 11.5x4 prop), so the real question is how easily does it do 3D. The Aresti looks to be similar in configuration to most current pattern planes. This means that it's got a relatively tall fuselage, long tail movement, and what looks to be a decent sized rudder all which will aid precision flying and knife edge manuveurs. BUT the other control surfaces don't look to be adequately sized to make 3D flying "easy"... And if it is like other pattern planes it's wing will be pretty thin as well. If you look at the current crop of planes specifically designed for 3D, you'll notice that they all have huge control surfaces and pretty thick wings.
