Pattern / 3D
Hi all I'm looking for a good replacement for my ESM Freestyle Rush, I have flown mine to death and am looking for something along the same lines but a bit better quality, I would like a plane that is a bit of a cross bread of pattern and 3D any suggestions. I only have a .46 to go in what ever plane i choose

Pattern 3D on a 46? Its hard to come by, the 46 2C engine is usually insufficient for a pattern style plane to pull 3D manuevers. With a YS63/Saito82 you got a bit more choice. You can have a look at the CG Matrix, Sportman Aviation Excelleron, Fliton Extra 330 ...

Pattern 3D?
Well I would have said the Global Freestyle, but it is no longer made. Take a look at the Goldberg Matrix or the World Models Twister. Both are very similar in design, pattern style, with large 3D control surfaces.[8D]
PS: Just to mention, I agree with the fellow from Maylasia on power plants, the .46 fx would be marginal to take full advantage of this type of aicraft. Either engine he suggested are excellent choices. However if the .46fx is all you have go ahead and fly it until an oppertunity comes to upgrade the power plant. I flew my Freestyle with the .46fx for a while, and at 5.25lb it would hover, but just barely, no pulling out verticaly. Still it would perform many basic manuvers and fly very well.
