Default air combat series ( world models )

hi all

a friend of mine gave me an Aircombat Series-25 (Spitfire) as a gift - all the pieces glued together perfectly and in generally the quality is perfect

now i want to ask if i must drill two holes for the throttle pushrod or is another way to make the pushrod reach the engine because i cant see holes for it

here are some pics

*red arrows indicate the position for the holes

Yes, you need to drill. They don't pre-drill the holes because they don't know which way you are going to mount the engine. On mine I mounted the engine inverted.

I had the P47. I think they are all the same plane with different color schemes and decals. Mine had an OS .25FX on it. For such a small plane it actually flew pretty good. Here's a pic of the engine.

Mine has had 3 different engines so far. When I first built it I used an old Saito .45. This worked fine, but I didn't like the weight, so I changed to an old OS .25 FSR. This reduced the weight quite a bit, and flew very well. Then I picked up a new in box OS .32 FSR on eBay. This is the engine it's got now and I think it's great. A couple people estimate it flies about 90 MPH. Someone else in the club has a Great Planes F-15 with a Rossi up front. We do formation flying together. The .25 FX that WCB mentioned would be a good choice.

I was going to say I had no pictures, but I happened to find one when it had the Saito on it. If I recall correctly, I never actually installed the cowl when it had the Saito. Note, the mount in this pic is not the standard one for the plane, it's made for the Saito. When I removed the Saito and switched to the OS I went back to the mounts shipped with the plane. Here's a cut showing the engine.

Quiz of the day: Can anyone figure out why I've got a piece of foam on the prop?

My guess would be to keep the prop from rotating, opening the valves and allowing oil to collect in the head.
If not, my second guess would be blue.
This is a pic of mine. GMS .32 for power. Pretty nearly destroyed itself on its maiden. Bad rx and lack of range check. Rx would receive for exactly 6' of range then nothing.
Got it on [link=http://fubar1.net/movies/shame/P47Crash.wmv]Video![/link]

Ouch, I hate it when that happens. Sorry for the loss. I'll keep the quiz open for a bit longer.
