Hi, I'm interested in the Phoenix models Decathlon Arf. However I've read that the Phoenix planes are overweight. I read in the forum about one of these planes and it looked pretty nice. Does anyone have any feedback on them? I plan to run a magnum .52 in it. Will this be enough power? Also, I have a set of cub floats I want to be able to use on it. Will the .52 be enough power off water? It shows it being at the upper limit for engines to use. I don't expect high performance, just scale flight. Thanks,

I just ordered the Decathlon myself. I plan on using my trusty Saito 72 on 30% Heli fuel. Regarding the weight - no matter what it can help to build as light as possible. I am using mini and some micro servos to save weight and a lion battery for rx. My rx is even lightweight. I do the same thing with my giant scale planes.

I just got mine yesterday and I too will be hanging a Saito 72 on the nose and I plan to use a set of Cub floats on it. I posted in another thread today with a couple of pics of the kit. I'm going to try to do a review as I assemble it.
