I would like to move the battery on my YAK up under the fuel tank to try and get rid of some dead weight I had to add. Should I somehow cover the battery in case of a fuel leak? ie place in baggie or something of that nature. I'm worried about any type of heat build up etc. by being in the baggie or whatever I wrap in if necessary.

You really shouldn't have to worry about that. It would take a tank explosion to get enough fuel around it and it would still take a bit to get it to fail...just stuff it in there.

yup stuff er in there... Maybe some foam between the tank and bettery but thats it

Thanks. I have it covered with foam and made a battery ( notice the correct spelling this time) tray for it. Going to ty-wrap it down. Just wan't sure about any possible fuel problems. Thanks again
