Default Vectorflight owners please respond

I'm changing this thread a little. I ordered the plane six days ago and was wondering how long it normally takes them to ship? I'm in no hurry just curious. Are these servos strong enough? Hitec digitals, 61 inch/pounds @ 4.8 v.

More power and far more weight than necessary.

The YS110 is a perfect match with the Edge, and since that's about the same weight and size, I expect it's great for the Extra 66 too.

Can't speak to the servoes but the YS 110 ought to be great in that plane... Have a .91 4s in mine.. It does good but I like the quick response more power gives.. Would have gone that route myself but YS 110's were not abailable when I built mine...

Hey, I don't have the YS either but I'm on the list at Central. She said there wasn't many on their list so I shouldn't have any trouble getting one. The servos are Hitec digitals, 61 inch/pounds @ 4.8 v.

expect 3 to 4 weeks for the plane to get there....

servos should be fine.. you could run them at 6v for a bit of extra torque and speed....

I agree it will take a bit to get the plane. It took my edge to come in about 4-5 weeks, which during that time i went ahead and ordered the goodies ill put it in it. The saito 100 fits nicely under the cowl and pushes it along quite well. The servos listed are more than perfect that you listed. Me i used the futaba 3010 all around with duralite batteries and the 5.1v regulator. Plenty of juice...

Well I've got everything ordered. From ServoCity; 4 HS 6635 digitals for controls and 1 HS 5475 digital for throttle, 2000mah 4.8V nimh battery, slimline RX 8 ch, heavy duty switch. They said the rx was on backorder and due in a week. From Central Hobbies; YS 110FZ, 460 litre tank, fuel tees with filters, fuel dots, inline filter, oneway valve, fuel nozzle with filter, remote glow headlock, TruTurn spinner with adapter. They called today to say the engines are due in tomorrow and they would ship as soon as they arrived. From Tower; the Futaba 9CAPS rx/tx only, $30 off. Good deal there! Most want $350 got it for $314.

Haven't heard from VectorFlight yet. Seems it wouldn't take that long to get here from Canada. But,,,,,,,,I'm not in that big of a hurry. Lotsa summer left.

Servos will be fine. As far as engines, I am running a Magnum 91 4-stoke. Flys it well and will perform at a Pattern level, utilizing speed going into a sequesnce. It is definately underpowered for 3D on any move that you will need to pull the plane out at slow speed. If I do it again, I will beef up.

I finally got mine and am in the process of putting it togther. I've run into a snag with the tank. There's no mount and I have to invent something. I'm also told the gear mount area is not sufficient and needs to be beefed up some. I'll have to address all that. See my thread xtra 300 build.
