I have painted myself into a corner. I have split my Goldberg Decathlon fiberglass cowling into upper and lower halves. i intend to use fiberglass to make flanges on the inside of these halves, but not sure what to do to join them together. Help, anyone?
Thank you in advance.
p.s....the plane is a great flyer with a Magnum .91 4s...engine is broken in now and i can put the cowling on.

ok is this a plastic cow or fiberglass?do you still want the top half to be removable?glue a piece of 1/8 ply about 1 inch wide by however long to the inside lower cowl part leaving half inch above the seperation line.add the top half and screw in place with some #2 by 3/8 sheet metal screws.if you want one piece just glue both halves together and reinforce the seam with scrap plastic or fiberglass
