Need help with engine for Patty Wagstaff Extra 300s 1/4 scale
#26
My Moki 2.10 is just starting to open up. i've burned 2 gallons since acquiring my Patty which was ready to fly with the Moki. The Moki is really running well now. I think it now may have 3 gallons run through it. It tears up the sky now. i am very happy with this combo.

I'll jump in here if I may.
I flew this exact plane for quite a while with an RC Ignitions modified Zenoah G-62.
All up weight, ready to fly, was less than 16 lbs for the bird. It flew fantastically, and had TRUCKLOADS of power. I was VERY pleased. The real bonus is that you can pick up a G62 inexpensively on E-bay, have them ship it straight to Ralph Cunningham (RCIGN1 here on RCU), let him work his magic (he lightens the motor, puts an electronic ignition on it, custom turns a prop hub to the length YOU specify, and ships it to you)....you can get the motor to your door, ready to fly, for $400-$450.
It's a SUPERB engine for this plane, inexpensive, reliable, and holds its resale value well, or is suitable for nearly any other 50 cc airframe you may step up to later.
Just my $0.02.
