Default Great Planes Christen Eagle

[] I am flying a Great Planes Eagle at this time. A problem has come up that is perplexing me. I find after about two to three flights that the forward upper Cabane strut attach point fractures at the radius bend and the ear breaks off. This has happened on three different struts breaking in the same place. It seem isolated to the left side for now but can' be certain it wont migrate to the right side.

Upon examination of the faild strut, I find stress cracks at the bend radius. Upon looking at a new strut, removing the paint in the area of the bend I find small stress cracks in the readius. This is confirmed with dye penetrate tests also.

Has anyone else had this experience? I am told by Hobby Services that they have not heard of the problem; although they are sending me a new set.

There's a whole tread on the Eagle on RCU Giant Scale. There's like 400 posts as I remember someone had the same issues. I have not on my Eagle. Check it out. Mike
