I am considering purchasing a Global Fokker DVII. Has anyone had any experience with flying this model and if so, please comment. Thanks

The plane was average in building. I had to sand the main wing saddle to get it to fit. After that things went together fairly well. I installed a magnum 65 4 stroke in it and had problems getting the motor to idle low enough to keep from moving the bird. It was squirrely on the ground and tow in on the mains helped but did not illeviate the problem. The throws listed in the manual was not enough and I had to go to max deflection on the ailerons to get for comfortable flight and it still was quite slow! Landing was uneventful.
At full power it will climb about 50 ft almost vertical and then slip back down. Pull back to about a 1/3 power and do a low and slow. You could actually trot beside it and snatch it out of the air. In flight it looked good. Between the good and bad on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 4!
