Got me back into R/C. Flew 2 gallons through the LA 40 and retired the plane. Moved up to an AEROBAT and have never looked back.
However, I will tell you my Superstar took enormous punishment: Flew into a tree; hit an aerial wire, spun around and made a 3-point directly below the impact point; rolled on a crosswind landing..wing intact; numerous hard landings simply to bounce around abit...
Yeah, she took a ton and is still in one piece...albiet the covering is a bit shoddy, LOL. Guess I'll donate her to some newbie whenever...
All in all, the Superstar is a great 1st airplane whether you're on a budget or not. Out-of-the-box and into the air.

As Don Dewey used to say, "Excelsior!"

I also had one, it was my 1st glow engine plane. I absolutely loved it until one day I did a loop and the wing broke. It wasn't in the middle where I epoxyed it either. The plane was totaled but sure was fun while it lasted. It was time to move up anyway!!!!!
