Default Nexstar- GREAT!

Purchased nexstar back in March, played with Sim. for a few weeks, got in contact with local flying club, Soloed their trainer, (sig 40 ) in 3 flites, about 5 Min. of air time, now have 35+ flights solo under my belt with the nexstar!
Had the landing gear problem, (falling out) 1 time, took 1 leg to the grinder and now they lock in.
Went to a double wire nose gear set up and eliminated the pulling to the right under throttle.

Flys great out of the box, (NO TRIM!) the OS46 is a sweetheart, and it looks better then any other trainers out at the field.

Cant say enough about this trainer, it now has me hooked on this hobby!

Also thanks to Dick Groth AMA Chapter 792 for welcoming me in to the RC comunity.

That's a great story. Welcome to the hobby. For the most part I'll bet you have a great time flying and talking.
Thanks
Barry

Not sure how to take your comment, I was told by Dick , our clubs instuctor that He has never soloed a student so fast!. I contribute most of this due to the Sim. I wish I had a Sim. back when I was working on my Private L. Took me 8 Hrs to solo in a Cherokee Cruiser 2 weeks after my 16 birthday. $46 per hour wet! alot of $ when I was making $3.50 HR.
I did mess around wit a foamy, 3 channel, I don't know if this helped or hurt learning.

Also being a FAA certified Airframe & Power-plant Mechanic might have helped me in other ways.

Do you have any story's you would like to share?

I love to talk to Ya!
