Default H9 or WM P51???

I'm looking to get my hands on a mustang within the next three weeks . I'd like an ARF to get me in the air quickly (I'm taking my time on a TF kit and I don't want to rush it). I've heard good things about the Hangar 9 mustang and the WM mustang. Just can't make up my mind. Any comments on either plane would be very helpful, thanks guys.

Default H9 or WM P51???

I own both. I have the WM .40 size P51 with a ST 90 in it. It is a nice plane but it is a "Sportscale." I am assembling the Hangar 9 and by looks it is more of a scale plane. IMHO, Both are nice planes but I have to give you the Hangar 9. Most power them with a .90 something or 100ish FS. Me, I am stuffing a Saito 150 in it. Later

**dddddrrrrrrrooooooooooooolllllllllllllll** 150 eh? Bet it'll scoot with that. I think I'm leaning towards the h9 with a 100 on it.

The saito 100 is more than enough power for this plane. Jeff Foley mentioned in one of the earliest threads about this plane that the 100 was too much, so I put a saito .91 in mine and it flys great. Very scale at mid-range throttle, but it really moves when you open it up.

I have the H9 which I intend to put a Saito 100 in, it is the next one I work on, there are two H9's at our field, one powered with a Saito 90, and the other with a YS 91, both excellent flyers.

We also have two WM .40 size, one in standard milatary trim and the other in Yellow (the Rockwell version).

They are both excellent flyers, the choice seems to me to be one of whether you want a .40 size or .60 size plane.

Your choice but this is one case where you really can't go wrong.

If you decide to go with the WM, check out the Yellow one, it is a great looking plane and different than the other Mustangs at the field,

This is type of decision that is win - win, both good choices

I would go for the H9, great looking ARF, in fact, I did.

Steve
