Default vectorflight edge 540 motor??

I was just wondering if i should go with a SuperTigre G-90 or would a GMS 1.20 fit on it. There isnt alot of diffrences that i see but im new to getting something bigger on there. Or should i go with the g-90. Everyone seems to like the G-90 but for about the same price should i jump up there or should i stick with the G-90? I know the GMS Claims like .7 more HP is that a good comparison. What do you guys think.

The GMS 120 has gobs of power. Don't know about reliability (no experience) but it is a heavy sucker. At 31 ounces, it is 4 ounces heavier than the G-90 and 12 ounces heavier than a Saito 100. That 31 ounces will need some tail weight to balance so I suspect that the Edge would be a lead sled! The G-90 should be more than adequate in terms of power but you might consider a lighter solution. Just my opinion.

gonna have to agree (assuming the weights quoted above are correct)

the edge is already quite heavy.....I run the saito 100 in mine....
I couldn't imagine the plane being 12oz heavier

I just got a new ST 90 for my old Goldberg Extra 300. It started easy and ran great on the stand. I plan to fly it tommorow with a 14x6 apc. It turned 10,800 on 15 % fuel. My extra is a little bigger than the Vector Flight Edge but about the same or less weight.

Hey I flew my Extra with a ST 90 today and it did great. I once had a 1.08 Mag on it and the ST is much lighter. I was able to take 5 oz of lead off the tail to balance it. It really pulled it nice. I have only run 4 tanks though it so I know it needs more time to break in but it runs strong. For the price its a good engine.
