Default Which engine on H9 CAP232 .40?

I just picked up one and am having a dilemma regarding the engine to put in it. I have a O.S. 46FX on the bench and a Saito 72 on my H9 Pizzaz. Should I put the 46 on the CAP or put the 46 on the Pizzaz and the 72 on the CAP? I would hate to set up the CAP (cut out the cowling) with my spare 46 and find I would have been better served swapping the 72 out of my Pizzaz. Any comments on this choice would be greatly appreciated.

No doubt, go with the Saito 72 on the Cap 40. 46 would pull, but nothing like the .72 Saito.

Default CAP 232 engine selection

I have been flying mine with an OS 46FX and it does quite nice. Best thing is the fit inside the cowl. You need to grind some of the fins off the muffler for side clearance and open a hole about the size of a 50 cent piece to clear the front bottom of the muffler. Makes a very neat installation. My local group has 3 of these flying. I have 5 more for sale for $150 each.

I was looking at that same plane and after researching a long time i was going to put a .61fx but i saw the .91fx and it weighs the same as the .61fx so i was going to go with the .91 but i backed off and decided to go with a bigger plane.

I have the Kyosho Cap .40 with a Satio 80 and it is a great combo. Lots of power without a big penalty for weight. I have heard that the .72 has nearly the power of the .80. If that is right I would put the 72 on it.

Well, after installing the 46FX in my Pizzaz I found the performance to be lackluster. No authority in any manuvers and the plane wasn't as crisp as it was with the 72 in it. The 72 in the CAP was GREAT! I flew it for the first time today and had a lot of fun. I can't believe that I never had a 4 stroke until a few months ago... I don't know if I will ever put a 2 stroke in a 40-90 size plane again. Big difference! Now I need another 4 stroke for my pizzaz, maybe a Saito 100 .
