Yes, the 7CHP can be used with airplanes, just need to go through the programing to put it from heli mode to acro mode. It's fairly easy to do. You don't have to worry about reprograming it back, for you can program several different models, and switch to the model you want on the screen.

about the only difference is ratchet throttle and switch position......
