I was going to put a saito 150 in my great planes pitts. I have been told that isnt enough power. I am not a power freak like alot of people are. I like to fly on the low side and use my manuvers to keep my speed. I was thinking on a saito 180 or i have heard that a YS 140FZ would be a good engine. I have never had one and never heard of anyone around here using one. Are they a good engine as well? (Especially for the money!!)
I would like to stay with glow and a 4stroke. Can anyone help me out??
Thanks,
Todd

These are 14 lb + bipes, lots of drag...WHATEVER you choose to use, you DO need plenty of punch. Not outrageous, but enough to be safe when she gets a little slow, or things get tricky in heat/wind conditions...
I honestly do NOT thing ANY 4 stroke in the 1.40-1.60 range will give you enough.

Bob is right. You need safe power for that bipe. A good gasser like the G 45 CC is the way to go. You need also some good weight in the nose to balance that plane wich is a problem
if you plan to use a glow .
