Default How do I put in the horizontal stab?

I am building a World Models Rambler ARF...The instrux show sliding the horizontal stab thru the fuselage after you cut out the covering. The hole is not big enough for the stab to slide through. I assume I have to cut some of the wood block either aft or forward of the pre-cut hole in the fuse.

If so, how do you make the cut? Principally, I can see how to cut horizontally with a hand saw, but how do you make the vertical cut clean when I only have access from one side? Is there some common ARF trick I just don't know about here?

Thanks in advance,

Chris Barley,

Default Rambler

My Intruder had fitted balsa gap fillers in the stab and fin slots. This is to prevent damage to those thin areas prior to construction.

Check it out.

Default You are right thanks!

You are right. I just didn't want to cut the covering when there was wood under it! I pushed on the area you described and I found the loose wood....looked like fuse to me. Thanks, Chris
