Got it out to check it over, and the cowl is a icky yellow. Will anything take it off?[:'(]

LoL! Looks like i might have to deal with it, think gas fumes stained it.

It's really not that hard to repaint the cowl. Just get the Monocoat colour white paint from the hobby shop. I guess I've been lucky with mine. I have Rascal 110, with a Zenoah G-38, in mine and the gas has not staind mine so far. "knock on wood"

Does anyone know the demensions of the vertical and horizontal stabilizer on the RASCAL 110. I am trying to find out if it will fit in my Volkswagen Bug. I can get my KADET SENIOR ok.

I just measured mine "VerticleStab" Ground to top of Verticle Stab=20 1/8th" tall Horizontal Stab=36 1/2" wide I hope your able to get it in your car it's a great flying plane, and looks good in the air. Remember.........If you really want the plane, get it. You'll find a way to get it to the field.

I'd say strap it on top with the wing in place. It probably makes enough lift to fly the Beetle, too

I am supposed to pick up the Rascal 110 kit Friday and will begin putting it together soon thereafter. Anyone have any suggestions on things to look for before I start. I have a Kadet Senior that I am presently flying and I love it. I didn't have any problems constructing it.

This is my 2nd kit (ARF) after being away from the hobby for thirty years.

Will be thankful for any replies.

Great airplane to fly,my 110 has had the firewall come loose and last night the stab broke 3 out of 4 flying wires, pulling the complete tail feather assy 75% from the fuse. So my 2 cents says its worth everything you have to do to strengten the plane because its worth it. The fire wall was pretty easy, I added ply stringers extending back into fuse and covered all on the inside with fiberglass cloth and resin. A little weight but certainly not a hinderance. It carries my super tigre 3000 quite well, and have had no signs of added stress after lots of flights. Someone mentioned earlier in a 110 thread about flying it within the limits of its construction, I thought mine would be different, THEY DO HAVE LIMITATIONS. While the planes capabilities are endless they just dont hold up well on 3D. I have had no wing problems yet, just the two areas mentioned. Good luck assembling and happy flying !

For what it's worth, I've put together both a Kadet Sr. and a Rascal 110 (which I'm now re-putting together) :-( and there were many similarities in construction. If you got through the Kadet Sr. assembly ok, the Rascal 110 should be really familiar in many respects. Just follow the directions. :-)

I just flew my Sig Rascal 110 for the first time last night, it is equipped with a Sato 150, what a delight to fly. Not only does it fly great with fuel, but was able to fly for a long time when the fuel ran out. To date this is by far the best flying plane I have flown.

Yes, I definitely agree 100%. By far the best all around flying airplane I've ever flown. (Although I tend to say that after every plane I fly.) :-)
