HAS ANYONE OUT THERE PURCHASED ONE OF THESE ARF KITS???
IT IS MADE IN CHINA. DIST. BY HOTBODIES OF TEMECULA CA.
I BOUGHT THIS KIT FROM PEGASUS HOBBIES IN MONTCLAIR CA.
THE KIT IS AN ARF WITH A PULLSTART 18 SIZE MOTOR. I INSTALLED THE FAN AND MOTOR,I THEN WENT TO BREAK IN THE MOTOR.I COULD NOT KEEP THE FUEL FROM POURING OUT THE CARB.BECAUSE THE FUEL TANK IS MOUNTED ABOVE THE MOTOR.
I WENT TO RETURN THE PLANE AND EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM.THEY TOLD ME THE KIT IS OKAY AND THE DIST. TOLD THEM THAT THEY FLY.THE KIT WAS 399.99 AND I HAD TO FIGHT WITH THEM TO GET THEM TO RETURN MY CASH. DOES ANYONE OWN THIS KIT ,IF SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS.

Todd,

I would like to welcome you to RCUniverse. You will find that this is a GREAT site.

I moved your thread because it was in the wrong forum. I placed it here in the ARF forum so you should start getting some feed back.

Stop by and check out the rules. Do a little searching around and you will find that there is a forum for all your needs.

Jeff

Default That would be my visit to the hobby store

I would not be dealing with that hobby store again if they busted your chops like that. There are alternatives, TY Internet.

I had a problem with a product and called Tower Hobby, not a problem, not a single one, in fact they apoligized that I had a problem.

I would be interested to hear feedback on this ARF, it sure looks neat.

Sounds like you got your money back soooo, I would stay far away from any plane I have to place my foot on and pull start it, to include those Kyoshos. $400. There is about 100 alternatives.

Easytiger did a very good write up on this plane in the jet forum. You returned the plane way too soon as the resolution to your problem is a simple pair of hemostats. Do a search for Toki and you will find a wealth of information.

Yeah man, you return the jet too soon. I have had byron jets and they all flood the carb if you don't clamp the fuel line, maybe you should do the research first, before getting mad at a hobby shop. Model Airplane news did a review of the jet I think in the December issue.
