I was looking for a plane for my new MVVS 15 diesel and I noticed an Adin my AMA mag this month for a 15 size cub from Ak models
in Iowa $54.95 plus $7.95 FedX ground, ordered Fri got it today. I was amazed at the quality not a wrinkle, laser cut wood, wing halves
fit together like a glove , scale looking landing gear, The plane is updated from the instructions which show dowel pushrods with wire inserts with a Y to the elevator. NO it now uses 2mm rods in tubes (much better) one piece elevator engine mounts sidways not inverted
15 to 25 engine usable> I am now torn between the MVVS 15 diesel and my Mag 30 4 Stk in this one, Wing struts that appear very functional they are sturdy, Chinese of course, Fus very heavily built not fragile 49. 5 span 4 servos, cut for full size but will use Hictec 81s they claim 2,5 Lbs finished and a 320cc tank?? thats about 10 oz for a 15?? fly forever a lot of plane for 55 bucks I had a global hobbies 25 cub a few years ago and I think it was about $100
Just opened the hardware bags good stuff and metal clevises martin

I was curious about this so I opened up a browser and typed in akmodels instead of ak-models. Oops, not the kind of models I was expecting!
Anyway, this looks like the same thing I got off eBay a while ago. Be careful on takeoff, takes some work to keep tracking straight. It would also be a good idea to seal the covering edges in the front. Mine started peeling off within the first couple flights. Also, check the firewall alignment, for some reason mine was built with left thrust. I ended up shimming the engine mount. I used an OS FS-30 and standard servos in mine, flew great. Putting around at 1/3 throttle was great. Unfortunately, it met an early end. I used some older servos and the aileron one locked up during a turn and it spiraled into the ground.

I have the Extra from AK.Nice looking plane.I put a Magnum .91 2-stroke on it.1st flight for me in almost 7 years went well until I throttled back to land, engine would not come back to idle.Had to fly around until it ran out of fuel and deadstick it.The srvo tray unglued itself and threw the throttle servo out of adj.I then noticed the covering loose under the landing gear so pull it off to monokote it and the bottom piece of the fuse the gear bolts to came off with the old covering,I saw a place that had a small dab of hot glue holding it.Just watch out for bad glue joints and loose covering. Also, the extra could use a computer radio, the control throws from the instructions are a little sluggish for snap moves and increasing them makes the plane "jerky" in normal flight. As for your ?,Id go with the 4 stroke. That would be cool to see a small cub with that little motor in it.
