Saito .82 in need of a home
Well I finally flew the wing off of my UCD 46. I am looking for a home for the Saito .82 that was in it. Any suggestions for a new ride? I am thinking either another 3D bird or a Bipe.

A new set of wings? Nothing beats the Fliton Extra 330 when it comes to an all rounder, a large 40 sized plane (59" w/span) that will be nice with the SA82 turning a 14x6. This plane will 3D, IMAC or just screw about in the sky. Try it and love it!

Well, seeing as I flew them off literally. I need a whole new airframe. Fuse was totalled, wing has yet to be found in the reeds at our field.

I would recommend the Hangar 9 Twist if you can find one. I'm using the same engine with an APC 14x6 pattern prop and this thing is like a rocket. Not easy to hover and torque roll but all that hard either. Harriers are okay but not all that great because the thing likes to fly so slow in the first place. It doesn't like to knife edge worth a flip but will still do it. I'm using a flap elevator mix, like the E3D from G3, and it will do some crazy waterfalls. It has a light wing loading like the UCD, it can take extreme control throws, and lands like a trainer. Whatever you get you might want to stick with a 3D plane instead of a bipe. Most 3D planes seem to be a lot more forgiving than a bipe.

Take a serious look at the Funtana 40.
A member at our field has one with the Saito 82 and it's a solid performer. The power lets him fly at the low speeds the Funtana was designed for and maintain solid control. He isn't a hover and torque roll flyer, but it looks like the power is there to do that kind of stuff.

I had the 72" Laser 200 from PAM, it was a really nice plane to build, back then they already did their planes like the new H9 ShowTime, all holes are routed for you! Hardware is very nice. If the 40 sized one is like the 72" then its a great plane to have. They fly beautifully!

Pacific Aeromodels Edge-540T would be a good home.. I had one with a .46 which was marginal, I sold it to my buddy who has an OS 70 in it now.. Here is a picture of me and my other buddies with a YS-63(Black Canopy) Unlimited vert and yours would too.. Awesome little plane..
