Default GP PT19 on Zenoah G26/38???

Hi all

As both the item are available locally, I'm very tempted to get them set up. But I have no direct access to the plane itself to measure the firewall/cowl dimension so I wonder if they fit. Power wise they are ok as G26 is prolly like 120FS and with big wing area of PT19, the loading is acceptable.

I don't have much of a choice locally on plane.

The G26 has more power than you think. Not much different than the G38 although the G38 is much heavier. The H9 PT-19 flew well with a G23 but require the cowl to be cut up. I'm changing out a Webra 1.20 in my H9 PT-19 to Ryobi 31cc. With rear carb and exhaust it will require little cutting of the cowl and make a neat fuel miser of a plane.

I got both the plane and engine on my bench. Major cowl cut is the carb side with the stack and half of walbro protrude out. The muffler only some half cm out but with its matt black color, it looks ok with the black and blue trim on the cowl...

Way too much engine (weight and size) for this plane. Get a .90 4-stroke.

I think the 90 4 stroke may be only good for scale flight at upper end of the throttle. 120 4 stroke I can go, but the G26 cost lesser than 120 4 stroke over here!

Anyhow I wanted to try out gasser and see how things are not to mentioned fuel expense on glow with 120 size!
