Got my Funtana 90 for big fun...got the Corsair for scale fun, and Im now needing something to throw in the car, thats about a 40 size thats ready to go at all times...a ALL around fun plane, small enough to fit in the trunk or the back seat to fly anytime....
My Corsair and Funtana have to be broken down and set up every time...but thats ok on the weekends...now I need a plane to fly in the afternoons or whenever I get a "fix" LOL
I found that GLOBAL ME-109 at tower for 89.99, looks good, fun.....I would like to stay under $300 for the whole project.... I just thought I would ask all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for the help!!

My all-time favorite throw-it-in-the-car-assembled model was the SIG Ultimate Fun Fly. But, it's a kit. A similar-sized ARF Ultimate is available from Cermark, World Models, Cox (!), and Raidentech.
I recently bought the no-name-brand made-in-China Ultimate .46 from Raidentech (World Models knock-off) for $119. Haven't flown it yet. It's a very compact model that will easily fit in the backseat or trunk of even a very small car.
Good flying,

I was also going to mention the OMP katana. I have one and love it. I purchased it for around $150 or so, but you can get them on ebay for around $40-60 if you look. THey are the same plane. Mine flies great with a saito 82. On the V2 version, the wings are removable but mine fits fine in my nissan altima with the wings left on.

I'll second the WM Super Sports .40. This was my first low-wing eight years ago and I still have the original one...with a few repairs lol.

Pizza Box Flyer.
Just a sheet of coroplast with an engine on the front end and elevons on the back end with a rudder. All electronics are doublesided taped and cabletied to the top.
Got a GMS .32 with an APC 10X3 prop. Thing is sick to fly. Very squirrely at high speed but a total blast at low speeds. Does the most amazing harriers.
Going to add landing gear because I keep breaking props when I land. Have crashed it several times and only broke the prop.

i second minnflyer's - World Models Ultimate 40
you have a big one, a scale one but no bipe! the plane should fit in your car without disassembing. now THAT's the plane to have when you need a fix!

Dblex,
Alot of us in our club keep phoenix models sonics always in our hangars. They fly with anything above an LA 40, and are an all round fun airplane basically because they are a disposable airplane and entice everyone who flys them to be incredibly, and often stupidly, gutsy.
