I've got the 140 size yak, and have a few questions about the build.
1. The diagram says to epoxy the aluminum joiner pins to the wing root. Well the holes for them are only 1/8" deep, seems like the should be set deeper, it says something about a 6.1mm bit. Did you exopy them in as is, or deepen the holes; if deeper, how much further?
And there are dimples where the pins should go through the fuse. Pretty obvious, but I assume you drilled those out?
2. It also says to epoxy in blind nuts on the wing root. It looks like these are used along with the springs to help hold the wing in place?
3. I went with Great Planes CA hinges all around, but they just wouldn't hold on the rudder. Thinking about going with robart hinge points on the rudder. Do you think there is enough wood/room for robarts?
4. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of air flow out of the cowl. I was thinking about doing a little cutting and making some of the louvers functional. My only concern is wether the airflow will exit the louvers, or create an eddy, and try to flow back into the cowl?
5. Anyone mount their fuel tank under the wing tube, on, or closer to the CG?
6. Trying to decide on a Moki 1.8 or 2.1?
Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to screw anything up. Thanks.
