hi folks
i recently acquired an OS 1.20 Surpass series III with a pump. I have the plans to build a Miles Sparrowhawk with an 84inch span but until then, i would like an ARF to help make use of the motor.
The style of flying i do is sport oriented. I have never gotten into the 3D side of things and hovering doesn't really appeal to me. I do have an Excelleron 50 (using an OS .90 surpass) of which i love the flying characteristics... I also have a GreatPlanes Shoestring pylon racer (also using the .90) which is a slower plane (more drag) but i like the scale looks and the slow landing speeds...
Any suggestions welcomed.
Regards
Michael

I have heard good things about the Carl Goldberg and the World Model Ultimate ARF. Both kits would suite the OS 120 III pumped, if you like bi-planes that is. Also, they both do good with smoke.
Here is a clip with the CG with the OS 120;

Here is a review on the WM;

Hope any of these fancy your liking. Let us know what choise you made and what you think about the combo.

gee, is it really that heavy? i didnt realise it was considered such a heavy motor... Almost makes me regret buying it!
i was thinking of putting it in a Funtana 90 or perhaps even an Excelleron 90 pattern plane... i like the smooth flying of the Excelleron and have a 50 version (loaned to a mate). I am not so sure i would be into the 3D flying of the Funtana, but here in OZ they seem to be such a cheap kit... $315 AUD.
The other option is that i sell it for what i can here (probably around $500 AUD) and buy a Saito 125... the new "light" motor! however i dont think there are any over here in OZ yet... anyone experienced them over in the USA?
