Default Interesting Trim Change - Modeltech Extra 300 25 - 35 Size

I was flying my Mofdeltech Extra 300 this morning, about the fourth flight, when suddenly I had a trim change. Returning over the field for landing, we heard a thrumming noise. I expectd some covering had come off.

Whe we walked to the plane, we didn't notice anythig unique to any of the covering, top or bottom. What we did find on second examination was the front 1/8" trim stripe had debonded from all but under the fuselage and at the tip of the left wing. This provided enough drag to change the flying characteristics of the model.

I had previously replaced the right front stripe due to it's coming loose. It had slid on the covering so it was no longer straight. Plane is about 1 1/2 years old, flys very well with an OS Max 28F, 225 Hitec servos, 720 MiMH battery pack and Hitec 555 Rx., Master airscrew 9X6 prop. I've used APC 9X6 as well, but the MA seems to fly the plane a bit more slowly for my fading reflexes!

Great flying plane though.

Default Great Flyer

Got one with an OS .32 sx. It flies awesome. What a great little plane. It will do anything. I use futaba s3003 servos all around.
