Default Edge 540 wing tube

I assume for those who have built it, that you epoxied the center tube in the fuselage? The manaul is silent but I am asking if anyone maybe drilled through the fiberglass tube holder in the fuselage or just glued the tube in place? Am a couple of hours away from finishing and flying mine. Fired up!

No, Spliff, you don't fasten the wing to into the fuselage at all. In particular, don't ever drill any holes in the center part of the wing tube. A hole there would cause the tube to crack and fail in a very short time.

Most people just leave the tube mounted in one wing, but if storage or transportation is a problem that way, you can remove it from both wings and just carry it as a separate piece. (Don't forget to bring it to the field though.) ('')

I wrapped the center section of the wingtube with teflon tape (pipe wrap) so it makes a nice tight fit with the phenolic tube in the fuselage. I can remove it when I want, but the tube doesn't slide sideways when flying.
