I decided to start a thread for abitious ARF builders. Take an ARF and make it look like a "real" plane...
Yes! and I don't mean just drawing panel lines... NO SIR! fill the open bays, glass the surfaces, ad details & repaint![X(]

My Feedback: (1)
Great Planes Fokker DR-1, stripped the red Saran Wrap
off and re-covered with white Solartex and painted it. Weighs 10 pounds, needed 1.3 pounds in the nose to balance it, but the wing loading is still only 19 oz/ sq ft. Flies with a .91 Saito. Should have reinforced the bottom wing while re-covering, snapped it in two upon landing on the maiden flight, just barely caught the tip. It now has a carbon fiber-reinforced spar on the bottom and mid wing (just in case).
