Hi Ann Marie,
I bought the Pitts special in May 2002 with the Fuji 50 engine as a combo from Tower Hobbies.
1) Is this Pitts ARF modified ..?? if no I do not really like the idea of tearing the wings apart as this defeats the reason for buying an ARF. I should be able to return the ARF for a replacement free of charge,
2) Is the Fuji 50 engine an issue for this ARF...?? if so why are Tower suggesting this combo..??
3) If a flaw is found in a part ...and replacement s are available then this modification should be made available to all customers and hey should choose whether to avail of the solution or not
I really like the ARF and wold dearly like to fire it up. However after reading all the hype I am anxious about it being a liability at the air-field. I am also not the best builder and do not like the idea of having to mess up the wings to inspect the holes etc.
Ann Marie please do not take the above comments personally as I am only interested in flying the Pitts safely for as long as it will last........hopefully more than 3- 10 flights
Thank you,
Martin

I also am interested in the reply you get from your post. I have one of the "PRE-MODS" Pitts on my shelf. I don't like the idea of having to cut the covering to make repairs !
