Default WILD STICK by Goldgerg

Just started assembly of a Goldberg Wild Stick and you would expect a plane with their name on it would have better hardware.

I know the tall landing gear has a tendency for getting knocked off easily so I'll have to re-inforce it.

I'm using a MDS 148 2-stk. with the new carb and BCM muffler.

Anyone elce have one of these planes and what should I look out for?

I have a friend that I helped get his flight trimmed and flap to elevator mixing setup. Set your control throws to low rates to start out. The control are like way huge! You can always increase to your confort level little at a time.
The flaps work great and you can fly steep approch to landing. I have 20% down elevator mixing with flap deployment on my friends Wild Stick. The airplane is a little tricky on takeoff, maybe because of the tall gear? It may help to use expo on the rudder.
Good luck, Believe you are going to have a blast with this plane.

Got the "bug" again a while back when I saw one fly with a Saito 180 on it.

I flew a H-9 Ultra Stick for over a year with the Saito 180 and loved it till the power lines on the far side of our field claimed her.

Had it set up with crow, reverse crow, flaps and full span flaps, throttle mixed with crow and elevator mixing on all.

Thanks for the info DVI.

Hunter,

Mine is the 120 model with a MDS 148 engine and two std rudder servos.
Saw one fly once, much like the Ultra Stick but lighter, lands real slow.
Sorry, no pic's.
Carlos
