Ok, I've read just about all of the mountain of information about this plane here at RCU. There is indeed a ton of info but one topic that hasn't been delved into too deeply is the best CG location.
Maybe that's to say that the recommended loc (4 1/8" aft LE) is the best, but that's my question: is it? My plane, with a GMS 76 up front, ele & rudder servos in the rear, and a 1650 NiMh pack in front of the servo tray, balances just at the rear of the spar, about .5" ahead of the recommended CG location.
Should I just go ahead and fly it and see how it works? I actually would prefer the plane to be on the stable side, at least at first, so maybe this balance point will be Ok. Anybody have any experience flying the plane with such a CG location?
