Need J3 ARF for Saito 90 Twin
I have started a Sig 1/5th scale J3 kit for my Saito 90T. No time to build or finish. Is there a J3 ARF, preferably with fabric or Coverite type covering, available?
Thanks,

Great Planes makes one with 21st Century Fabric covering. World Models and Carl Goldberg have both recently released a 1/5 scale cub ARF in full wing and clipped wing versions, but they're not fabric covered.

I just picked up the new Hanger 9 Cub, plug in play. Its 80", so about 1/5 scale. Its covered in Ultracote, and its awesome! I will try and post some pics later tonight. It has really nice scale struts, and scale gear, flying wires on the tail. Pretty nice! They are going to make an ARF version without the motor and servos later next month. I think it would be perfect for your Saito 90 twin. Its due out in March, and its going to sell for $210 if I remember.

Thanks for the feedback guys ! I will check it all out. On the Sig 1/5th scale kit, I had to move the firewall back a 1/2" for thrust washer clearance, and help on the CG a little, as the engine is a little more weight then specified on the plans.
Thanks again, I will do pictures on progress, etc.

Here are a few detailed shots of my H9 Cub. The wing struts and landing gear are very cool! I also like the way the motor and muffler are mounted. Very clean looking, and keeps the scale looks as best as it can. I cant wait for the weather to break so I can fly it!

bjohnson80 and crankpin,
I'm also considering a Saito 90 in the new H9 Cub. I think it would require at least 4 & 3/4 inches from firewall to front of cowl for prop clearance that is not excessive. I wonder if the firewall is recessed and if anyone can take a measurement fron front of firewall to front of cowl ? Would be very helpfull in determining if engine will fit without major modification to the firewall.

Mar345 - I will try to get up to the hobby shop today. Will see if we can check out the specs, and maybe he will have one there. I like the Coverite type covering, vs. the monokotes, etc.
I started a Sig 1/5th scale J3 kit, and the firewall had to be moved back 1/2" to have the thrust washer exit the cowl correctly. The Sig kit cowl is flimsy, so I purchased one from Fibre-Glas Speicalties. They were carving the plug when I called, and had it a month later.
Only thing I can see, that if the H9 is not ready for the 90T, then I will finish the Sig kit.
Now if Sig would ARF the 1/5th scale Cub, everything would be perfect. I try to buy everything at the local hobby shop vs. mail order. They need our support to stay in business. The one I go to will meet any mail order house prices.
