Default Aviomodelli Cessna Cardinal

Hello,

Is anyone flying the Cessna Cardinal from Aviomodelli ? I would like to know how it flies. What is the final wing loading? I am thinking of building mine and use a 91 OS.

Tom do a search on the Aviomodelli Cardinal and you will find a bunch of threads. I am in the process of finishing mine and using a Saito 80 FS. I have seen this plane flown on everything from a 70 to 120, It all depends on what yuou want scale or a rocket. I thing your 91 will be fine.

A flying buddy of mine built one with a Webra 91 2-stroke in it. The power was marginal and I think he changed later to an OS 1.20 FS. The wing loading is very high, somewhere in the upper 30's, even with the 2-strole, but it flew well at that weight. Just no vertical and a fast take-off and landing speed.

My first float plane was of this manufacturer (by the previous name) called the "Ready on Floats"

They are are perfect for water, no water logging or wood rot to worry about and their floats are one of the best on the market.

Good luck.

Carlos: Your Ready and the Ready/Modelfly floats are made by ARC-Modelfly in Italy. Same country as Aviomodelli, but not the same company. The Modelfly products are far more "ARF" than the Aviomodelli products.

A few years back RDM magazine did a review on ths Cardinal. I have the review in adobe PDF file and will send to you, if you would like. The review talks about the plane, building it, setting it up, and first flights. Might be of some help. Send me a PM with your private email.
