Default Cermark BD-5 Electric ARF

I just saw the sharpest looking little ARF in the Cermark website called the BD-5, it has a bullet shape like a small personal jet or something like that. It's a pusher and it's electric. Does anybody have any experience with these? I'd love to give one a try, but I thought I'd check to see if there's any feedback to be had about it, good or bad.

This is it:

I've flown it. It is very fast and fully aerobatic, but it has a glider wing and it floats in very slowly on landing. Good looking too!

Fast and aerobatic and floats in for a nice landing??? Who the heck wants a plane like THAT??? Uh, wait. That would be ME!!!

I've sold all my giants and have been restocking the hangar with smaller birds and I'm trying for some diversity, and a bird with pusher-power seems like a nice change. Also, I have a friend who is bugging me repeatedly in an effort to get me to buy an electric. I told him I wouldn't until I found one that caught my eye. This could certainly be the one!

Yesterday, I ordered Cermark (CER-A117) BD-5 for $119.95 and the Select-Package: Combo with brushless motor $100.00, along with electronics, servos, connector, batteries etc. (another approx. $200).

I could not find any prior posted build of the Cermark BD-5 here or elsewhere. I requested the editors here to add the BD-5 plane to the listings of Cermark, so that I could add a review here. It appears that this review needs to be completed before sending in a review.

Has anyone in forum topic found a build of the Cermark BD-5 posted at a web site to help me as a build reference?

Should I post my build progress here, start another topic on it or wait until completed, then post a review? I welcome a dual build if some else has ordered this BD-5 kit or is just starting to build one.

Bryan

P.S. See my RCSCALEBUILDER.COM topic on kit building a FW190-A8 under Sky Shark kit forum.

There is a build thread at RCG and Wattflyer. Here are some links.

I'm ordering mine today or monday, looks like a fast plane and an easy quick build.

I got mine built and in the air. What a hoot! Bewarned....you will need nose weight. Run her nose heavy 1st or she can be a handful. I put a entire stick of the clay that came in my GWS A-10 kit plus a 25gr. lead weight in the nose!!! It really felt like it was flying me until it added the weight. Now she is razor sharp!! I'll add some links to some video of my maiden.

I'm running a 2815/2000KV Himax inrunner [rated at 25 AMPs and 275 watts] on a 6X5.5 or a 7X5 prop. 3cell TP 2100 lipo and a 25 AMPs Silver Series GP ESC.

The video is on the 7X5 prop.

I also am going to run her with my 4 cell TP PL 2100 once I find the rite prop.
