Please do post your comments as the Venus 40 is my favorite plane. However, I am disappointed that they determined to make their second Venus as large as they did. I can handle carrying a 66 inch wing in my car, but the 69.5 inch fuse is more than I can squeeze in.

I had written to them requesting a larger Venus of 63" wing and 65" fuse coming in at 7-7.5 pounds. That would be perfect for the old OS Max FSR ABC that is presently underworked.

Looking foward to your comments. Maybe I can carry the plane if I take out the passenger seat and leave the wife at home.

Thanks for starting the thread Foxtrot. I didn't even know about this new ARF until I read this. I've always been interested in something like the Venus but in a .90-1.20 size.

I look forward to your comments, particularly in your engine choice decision process and how it balances. I've got a YS 1.10 looking for a home.

Got my Venus 2 today! It is huge! a little larger than my hanger 9 P-40. It really looks awesome...even has the wheel pants beefed up where the axels will go! I got a super tiger .90 with a bisson pitts muffler for it....cant wait to start the build! Its a very beefy plane!

Don't forget to weigh everything before you start. I want to get it too but only if my OS 120 4 - stroke will not put it over 9.0 lbs.

8.5 is doable with a 120 FS.
