I am repairing a red Sig Four*40. I put a small red hole in the front of the nose. I was able to fill in the hole with balsa fill material. I had to remove about a 1-1/2" square of the covering to patch the hole and now I need to buy some matching covering. Any ideas on where I can get a small amount of covering which will match? I hate to buy a whole roll from Sig for such a small hole.

Well one of the things you might consider is a decal of some sort?
A trim stripe or something along those lines?
Or if it's Monokote, IIRC there are smaller rolls available, i.e. 5"x36" and the Empire has those. Not sure about the UltraCote since I just bought the full rolls when I needed some to color match my gap seals.
Or if someone in your club or circle of friends might have the color you want.

Dang lawyers
Best bet would be to buy a trim sheet in as close a match as you can find, or in a contrasting color, and make a "racing stripe" or similar to cover the spot. MonoKote trim sheets are available in a size about 6 inches wide by 2 feet long. A couple of bucks, but cheaper than a whole roll.
On the other hand, if you get a whole roll, you'll be prepared for more holes and repairs in the future.

If you have a sign shop. Go an see if they have any scrap vinyl that will match the color. The kind of stuff they use to make bumper stickers out of.
They throw the stuff away in large amounts.
It may not be perfect and you will be able to see it on the ground. But it the air you will never see it.
