The Black Horse Extra 300 60 is a really good plane for a beginner who is going into low wing aerobatic planes. The plane is truly easy to build (watch out for the tail feathers, just go slow, its the same design as the older big planes). Wings are easily joined and will align properly. It is light for a BH plane, about 7 lbs only. Mine had a TT61 2C and that was more than enough for aerobatic flying. Landing it is easy and it will not tip stall on you easily. Go get it, totally value for money!

Yeah ... the quality is good, you may not like the horns but they do work fine. Anyways, I had 3. No. 1 I stalled doing a very slow manuever, No. 2 and No. 3 was lost as I did not realise that my RX antenna was slightly cut. You want spare cowlings and wheel pants and spinners? Hehehehee ...

Thanks for the input. This one shows the wings to attach with an aluminum tube.I dont know if it is the 2 piece or if it means the wing joiner is an alum tube and then it bolts on like any other.I just won it off E-Bay and should get it in a couple days.Years ago I had a Goldberg extra(best plane I ever had),and have a new one about 70% complete.I got back into flying in Nov with an AK models Extra and a CG ultimate. The extra has a .91 2 stroke and the Ulti a Saito 1.50.The new Extra Im building will have a 1.50 also. This blackhorse will probaly get a Saito 1.25.Once it gets here,Ill give a report on quality

Its a one piece wing, you glue it. I doubt this plane will fly like a Carl Goldberg!

Got home today and it was waiting on me.This is one of the best looking arf's Ive seen. The hardware is pretty good even.Ive only dry fit the parts and everything fit perfectly.Should go together quickly.I think this thing is meant to have detachable wing halves. The aluminum tube for the spar area is right at 2ft. long, and each half has its own dowel on the leading edge to plug into the forward former. Also has a dowel at the trailing edge and the opposing halve has the "receptacle hole" that has an aluminum bushing in it.The instructions never mention gluing the halves.I was wanting to put a 1.25 on it,but now Im seriously considering a 1.50.

8D3 - When I got mine they stated that the wing halves are meant to be glued. Maybe the new ones are not. Still I would just glue then in case that the bolts do not hold well. I love BH planes but I am careful.

As for a SA150? God help us all if you do! I have seen this baby fly on a mere 90 sized 2C, its already good. The 125 will be brilliant. The 150 just overkill and heavy.

Tianci, this must be the latest versionThe control horns are the type with a threaded rod and the single eyelet that you adjust with, the vert and hori stabs are airfoiled, and the canopy has quick release pins.It is designed like a giant scale bird.Even my friend, who isnt impressed by anything smaller than 30% is wanting one.BTW,Im still wanting the 1.25,figure the 10 oz saved will go towards slower landings?
