The control throws should be set up to your comfort level and past experiences. Which Giles did you buy? There are three different cm pro models. There is a thread in this forum regarding the 140 size.

I too would like to know the recommended control throws. I have the Giles 140 also that AK-Models sells and you are 100% correct when you say the instructions don't tell you much.

I have a Sig 4 star 60 that is almost the same size as this giles and I am planning to start with the recommended throws for it if I cannot find them anywhere else. Here are the recommended throws for the 4 star 60.

Elevator: Low = 3/4" High= 1"
Rudder: Low = 1" High = 1 1/4"
Ailerons: Low = 5/8" High = 7/8"

The 4 star has a 71" wing with 920 sq in wing area and it is a very gentle plane to fly so I think these settings my will be a good place to start.

Thanks
